Control Head

The Control Head is the pinnacle of the apparatus where the handles controlled by the audience/users are directly fed to the marionette through a pulley system. The length of pull on the pulleys will be digitised here. The numbers generated by the digitisation will be fed into a MAX/MSP patch which will be written to trigger different audio reponses depending on the length of the pull. There will be four pulleys and, within a specific range of pull, a range corresponding with the marionette reaching a pair of scissors, the audio response of all four will be programmed to 'agree' in some way, indicating to the 'pullers' that they are in a 'sweet spot'.

A simple light, clipped to the front end of the Control Head, illuminates the marionette for the audience.

The scissors will be hung from the control head (this is not demonstrated in the diagram).
